Spinach - New Zealand

Very low germination. I ordered sampler pack (Appx. 25 seeds), only 1 seed germinate

I'm extremely sad to report that these did not germinate even with the warmer and grow lights. Perhaps I'll try again in the summer heat. I just saw another review that suggests these need to be super warm.

They do take a while to germinate. However, I just tossed them in a huge barrel of soil outside, and after a long while they took. What I got was almost a trailing plant with wonderful spinach leaves all winter long.

I had never read about New Zealand spinach until this Winter when I was buying seeds for this Spring/Summer season. This is the second batch of seeds I have planted and they are not doing a thing.

The seeds arrived in great timing but I cannot get them to germinate. I am starting them indoors but this is my second round of seeds and nothing. If they do germinate I will update this review.

Ordering and receiving went smoothly. It has been almost 14 days since planting. Some spinach has sprouted but most of the other seeds have not :(
